Politics Plus Home Page
Now I am not known for being a political animal. But I am. For years I ran an event with little argument and a lot of help from virtually all of the folk that went to the event. I could not have achieved what I did without being political. The difference between myself and those in party politics (at virtually any level) is that I did not promise what I did not intend, did not rip off expenses and actually wanted everyone to have a good time.
Currently I am displaying two political pages, though politics and my opinion may crop up anywhere on this site. The Big Issue is a topical issue that is currently very important - at least to me - and so I have put it onto the big issue page. The other is a topical page that will show rants for about a month before they are archived.
Like many people I am fed up with the current crop of politicians and the total unfair and unjust policies they are using. We have a period of economic decline brought about by the greed of the very wealthy and, more directly by mismanagement of banking. Instead of making the wealthy and those in charge of the banks pay the poorer and very poor of the country are having to suffer as a result while those responsible have hardly been affected at all. On top of this we see politicians of all parties making sure their nests are feathered, virtually unchecked.
But what should we expect when the three main parties are all led by ex public school pupils? An example of the way we are governed is the reaction of the politicians to recent riots in many of our towns and cities. In stead of admitting that at the heart of the reasons for these riots is the current economic situation and the feelings of being unjustly treated, they, the politicians, blame criminals and low class thugs. In fact virtually anyone or anything that keeps the blame from their doors.
Because of this unjustness I cannot remain silent. I do not expect you to agree with all, or even anything, that I write on these political pages but I do hope you will think about what I have said.
